Finke Equipment started in 1977 when John Finke and his father, Bob Finke, began repairing jackhammers for an area construction company in their basement. From those humble roots, they have opened two locations in northeast New York and are still growing.
“It is a pleasure to sign Finke Equipment to the BOMAG family," said Cole Renken, BOMAG Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "It was no question that we wanted to work with such a well-regarded company, and we are excited to grow the BOMAG business with them throughout the greater Albany area and in Vermont.”
“With 35 years in the compaction, paving, and milling industry, our team at Finke Equipment is looking forward to building this relationship with BOMAG," said Don Fiacco, Finke Equipment’s General Manager. "Quality equipment and excellent customer service is what this company was built on, and I’m confident that the Finke/BOMAG team will continue to deliver both to our customers.”
As a compaction and roadbuilding company for soil and asphalt applications, BOMAG has a staff of 2,500 employees to support its global dealer network of more than 400 dealers. A range of product segments consist of asphalt pavers and milling machines, reclaimer/stabilizers, single drum and tandem vibratory rollers, pneumatic tired rollers, landfill refuse compactors, and a full range of light compaction equipment.
Located in Selkirk, New York, Finke Equipment is a heavy equipment dealer that provides sales, rental, and service of the machines that they sell. Finke Equipment has grown from a basement-run repair shop into a fully-fledged heavy equipment dealer. The family-owned business operates in northeast New York as well as Vermont.
